A Dirty Job

Charlie Asher is a pretty normal guy, a little neurotic, a bit of a hypochondriac, but the kind of guy you’d like to have father your kids. Things are going well for Charlie, that is, until his beautiful wife, Rachel, unexpectedly dies shortly after giving birth to their first child, Sophie. Standing beside his dead wife’s hospital bed, is Minty Fresh, an insanely tall, lanky black man wearing a mint green suit, who claims no one should be able to see him. But Charlie can, and from here on out, things get really weird. People start dropping dead around him, giant ravens perch atop his building and voices speak to him from the storm drains below. Like Minty Fresh, Charlie has been unwillingly recruited as San Francisco’s newest “death merchant” responsible for collecting people’s souls just before they die. It’s a dirty job, but hey somebody’s gotta do it!
